My friend, Jim and I decided to take a walk down by the river this morning.
We went out of town a little ways to the big public park near our native river and walked on the bike path for 30 minutes one way and 30 minutes back the other way to where we started out.
It was nice to get a little break in the middle of our walk today.
The dandelions are still showing their little faces but the smaller yellow flowers that bloom along the river first in the season are all gone now except for a few who have held over in shady places.
We love to watch the turtles although they don’t seem to ever do anything except lay there.
There are few things more calming and refreshing than the sound of the river moving slowly along seemingly pushed by the breezes.
I couldn’t wait to get back home and take my daily nap.
