Today I decided to check out a couple of new blog sites — “Medium” and “Hub Pages” because I am always looking for a bigger audience.
I was disappointed with “Medium” because it charged me Five Dollars per month to write on it and then it limited me to only one post each day … and I often write multiple posts in one day …. so needless to say, I am not on Medium anymore.
Hub Pages presented me with a complex menu of terms and conditions for use …If I was going to stay on there, then my articles would be judged by something or other to see if what I write is up to their standards …. a whole array of hoops to jump through … and I decided that nothing I could possibly write would stand the test of such stringency so I am not oni Hub Pages either.
I guess I had better be satisfied to be right here on WordPress.com because right here the cost is reasonable and I can post often and so far nobody has ever censored anything I have written .. and some of what I have written has been laced with profanity.
Adding to my array of kitchen gadgets, I ordered a Hamilton Beach countertop grill today for the sole purpose of making hamburger sandwiches. I do have a kitchen filled with gadgets because I am an experimenter and because I can afford it. My quest with the hamburger sandwich is to get it a little crispy on the edges, an act which requires a very careful sear for a short period of time. I like my burgers crispy around the edges and tender and done on the inside and that is something that comes only with practice.
Let’s see what this new grill will do.
By the way I am not being compensated for mentioning the brand, “Hamilton Beach.” (I had to say that for some strange legal reason having to do with disclosure when blogging.).
Today was the day that I was going to experiment with bitcoin over on my paypal account but when I read all the information about setting up the required cash account with paypal I decided it wouldn’t be worth my time to do it and so I did not do it and am waiting to see if my bank ever starts offering the crypto currency. If my bank offers it, I will go with them.
I am having some problems with pain that feels like TMJ (Aching pain in and around your ear. Difficulty chewing or pain while chewing. Aching facial pain. Locking of the joint, making it difficult to open or close your mouth) but so far the symptoms have been relieved with NSAID over-the-counter pain medications. I have an appointment for my regular 6-month checkup at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at the end of June so I will bring it up with the doctor at that time.
There isn’t much going on right now. I really didn’t get out of the house at all today. I did peer out the back door at the flower beds. The flowers have started to do well now that the threat of frost is finally subsiding. It is about time if you ask me because it is the end of May and we had cold snaps up until last evening. Unbelievable!
Maybe tomorrow will be more exciting.
