Forget About Google Trends

I wrote an article about the Gay Pride flag because I had looked on Google Trends to see what most people were searching Google for and that is what came up. So I didn’t get but one or maybe two hits on the article which tells me that I can safely ignore “Google Trends” as a real barometer of what people are reading.

  1. I’ve read advice about blogging every day, starting titles with a number, checking google stats for what sells (or gets read), checking Amazon stats for keywords…
Life’s too short to read them all, never mind check up on all those stats. I just feel guilty about not doing all the things I’m supposed to be doing to sell my books and get my blog read.
It’s nice to hear when something doesn’t work anyway. It’s one less thing for me to feel guilty about.

        1. You have to dig deeper than that but what you have seen already is just where the average American’s lack of intelligence leads us all. The world is burning under our feet and all they can think about is Kardashian! Pitiful!
