This is my favorite meal replacement shake because it satisfies my appetite from breakfast until lunch and it is packed with energizing, muscle-building soy protein plus fruit and other good things. I also like this before a work out or a long walk. It pushes and pumps me and makes me feel so much goodness.
In a high speed electric blender or smoothie maker add the following ingredients and blend them on high speed for about 60 seconds:
1/4 cup rolled oat cereal
2 rounded tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1 peeled fresh ripe banana
1/4-cup soy-based protein powder
1 cup milk
I use Bob’s Red Mill soy protein powder for all my protein supplement needs and, needless to say, but legally required for me to say, I am not being compensated in any way, shape nor form by Bob’s Red Mill for talking about their protein powder. You can order it direct from Bob’s Red Mill or you can often find it at places like Walmart, Target and Kroger. (I am also not being compensated for talking about those retailers either.).
There are plenty of other places you can find soy protein supplement powder too. Just Google it.
Why do I prefer Soy over whey?
It is just that I have always used soy whenever I can find it and when I can’t find it, I break off 1/3 of a block of extra firm tofu and include it in my smoothies.
